Forbes: 100 Greatest Business Minds

This was a special project to celebrate Forbes’ Centennial. Photographer Martin Schoeller was commissioned to take photos for this package highlighting 100 of the greatest minds in the business and entrepreneurial world.

For the design and development team, our goal was to create a premium desktop and mobile experience — not only for our users, but also for our sponsor BNY Mellon. Either by pure discovery or by searching for their specific idols, we wanted readers to experience something truly special by letting the masterful photography and short essays shine.

We also built a completely custom mobile experience for this package. On mobile, users land on this grid-like view and are able to click into profiles, viewing these “cards”. Vertical scroll is relevant information on the person (in this example, Shahid Khan) but swiping horizontally takes the user to the next/previous person on the list.
